Forklift attachments perform many different tasks depending on the need of each business. While there are various kinds of attachments, each attachment is designed in such a way that it performs a particular kind of task. Most companies that use forklifts in their factory, warehouse or yard will have a need for a forklift attachment at one time or another. Each business can choose the forklift attachement that fits its own needs or have one made that will fulfil the need of the business. To give you a better idea of the kind of attachments that are available here’s a short description of the different kinds.

Safety cages and bins

If you are looking for forklift attachments to assist you to carry out tasks at a height then you might want to consider a safety cage. Safety cages are specifically designed to allow you to lift your workers into the air to carry out those far reaching jobs without having to worry about their safety. These cages are roomy enough to carry your workers and their tools.

If you are looking for moving any materials, there are a wide range of bins that might come in handy. These bins vary from the tipper kinds to the dumper and forward bin kinds. Some of these can even be put into place with the use of a crane.

Jibs, slippers and carpet poles

Jibs and slippers are the kinds of forklift attachments that would be ideal if you require moving things like heavy machinery. The jibs are helpful when you need to lift and manoeuvre things in restricted spaces while the slippers easily slide under heavy objects that need to be moved from place to place.

Carpet poles are extremely useful if you need to handle anything that needs to be transported in the form of a roll. It is used to transports objects like rolls of carpet, fabric etc. and even products that are coiled.

Ramps and drum handlers

The last categories of forklift attachments that you need to know about are the ramps and the drum handlers. The names of these give you a fairly good idea of what they are used for. Drum handlers on the other hand are ideal for moving and manoeuvring drums. They are made for single drum or multiple drum handling. Most people are familer with 44 gallon drums and are able to move these drums easily with these forklift attachements
